Community Involvement

We are committed to building stronger communities here at home. We recognize that what we do today plays an important role in building the foundation for healthy and thriving communities tomorrow. Some of the organizations we’ve worked with:

Salem United Methodist Church

Thanksgiving 2021 we collected over 100 bags of clothes and donated them to Salem United Methodist Church. During the weeks between
Thanksgiving and Christmas 2021, we
collected non-perishable food for their Helping Hands Mission. It will be distributed to families in need around our area in White Marsh. Wilmot also donated $10,000 to their mission. If you would like to help visit their website by clicking the link.

Awards & Achievements

We have won numerous awards from the Modular Building Institute owing to the hard work, devotion, and technical expertise of our professionals. Awards are based on Architectural Excellence, Innovative Technology, and Energy Efficiency for both temporary and permanent buildings.  We credit our success to our ability to understand the needs of our clients and by giving them customized solutions. We have always given the requirements of our customers their due importance and are very flexible in our approach. Some of our achievements include:

Private Energy Company

Main Category: Modular Building Design
Company: Wilmot Modular Structures, Inc.
Affiliate: Ramtech Building Systems
Location: Killeen, TX
Building Use: Business Office
Gross Size of Project: 4956 Square Feet
Days to complete: 97

Architectural Excellence:
National energy client wanted a relocatable office building to serve as template for future sites in U.S. The façade incorporates the needs of the military base while resolving their desire for a visual presence off-base. Accented colors and orientation takes advantage of sight lines to highway, material & contractor flow on secure site. A parapet roof design with scuppers, downspouts, vertical siding & raised entry create a permanent look to structure. The exterior split faced wainscot Texas limestone finishes enhance the building & meets LEED-based sustainable criteria. The 12’ sloped atrium has multiple window transoms. Interior space includes 9 ft ceilings, 100-person training/conference room, huddle rooms, offices, locker & restroom facilities. The layout allows non-employees with own restrooms & card readers for extra security while securing sections for employees. Interior finishes include sustainable high-end tile, porcelain and solid surface counter finishes.

Technical Innovation & Sustainability:
The increased energy efficiency of the building’s envelope solved the increased energy requirements of the Client’s program and Energy Codes. The mill-finish aluminum windows and doors combined with highly efficient tinted energy saving glazing and building overhangs protect the interior from the seasonal heat gain found in the south Texas location. The high reflective white membrane roof added energy savings as well. The entire structure has state-of-the-art digital communications, IT, data transfer and security systems appropriate for this level of client and their industry leadership in the energy sector. All light is high efficiency LED assemblies inside and out with appropriate controls.

Cost Effectiveness:
The jobsite was already improved and asphalted, so minimizing site disturbance was a key factor in this design build project. Our design team was fully integrated in the client’s civil and geotechnical design process. The final design utilized CMU block piers and poured concrete footings which saved the owner nearly $150,000 in site & storm water management reductions. The Design-build approach met project demands for high end finishes, sustainable materials and energy saving practices combined with the ability to relocate and expand the building in the future saved substantial money to the client for future development.

Marketing Video - Honeygo Animal Hospital

Specific Medium Used:
YouTube Video

Target Audience:
Small Business Owners; Healthcare Facility managers.

Methodology:
Small Business Owners; Healthcare Facility managers.
• UAV/drone captured job progress from a 360° aerial perspective. An aerial timelapse was created.
• Message to be Communicated Consider modular construction as a project delivery method. Wilmot’s team can handle any challenge.

Distribution:
Website, LinkedIn, Facebook, Powerpoint presentations.

Entry Objective:
We wanted to show the modular building delivery process in a creative and personal way that would hold the interest of the viewer. By acknowledging the challenges and how Wilmot handled them, listening to the testimonial of our customer and taking the time to thank all the subs who worked on the job -we were able to show the advantages of that delivery process and working with Wilmot while offering exposure to our subs who did a great job.

Effect on Sales, Visits, or Inquiries:
The video was published on YouTube and posted on several of our Social Media sites in May, 2018. Because it was time lapsed over several months, we published smaller clips of the aerial time lapse as teasers to the final video. Views on our sites increased 40% and the number of contacts added to our database that month increased 52%. The number of views of this video across all Social Media platforms exceeded 1.2K. It has been a great asset to use when showing our bank "what we do." It’s also been a primary reason for several potential customers making the decision to work with us after we make our presentation and include this video as a testimonial.

Classical Christian Conservatory Academy

Use: Permanent Classrooms
Location: Alexandria, VA
Size: 28' X 74'

Customer Need:
The school’s occupancy was at its maximum and they needed additional classroom space immediately in order to stay in operation. They chose modular construction for the speed of delivery. In addition to more classroom space, the owner also wanted overhead protection for students and staff coming and going from the existing building to the new building.

Solution:
The reusability of modular buildings proved itself with this project. Wilmot completely renovated a 28x74 modular building to include four classrooms and ADA restrooms. It was then relocated to the school’s site in Alexandria, VA. An aluminum canopy was installed between the existing school and the new modular building – providing student and staff overhead coverage from the weather elements.

Features:
• LVT Flooring
• Vinyl Finishing
• Four Large Classrooms
• Two ADA Restrooms
• Aluminum Canopy with Footers

Hershey Foods

Use: Temporary Office Space
Location: Stuarts Draft, VA
Size of Building: 18,544 sq. ft.

Customer Need:
The customer needed to renovate their main facility. The main problem was that renovations were going to displace 800 employees who were in positions unable to work remotely. Modular building swing space was the best option, but it had to accommodate a variety of spaces from a kitchen/cafeteria to offices, restrooms, showers and locker rooms, a fitness facility, and security buildings.

Solution & Features: The project was a complete turnkey that provided multiple space solutions to allow for minimal disruption of the customer’s operations.  A fully engineered canopy and platform system tied all buildings together and provided covered access to all buildings on the campus.
