WALLENIUS WILHELMSEN TAPS WILMOT FOR PORT OF BALTIMORE HEADQUARTERS |
|
Speed, quality and customer service were three good reasons Wilmot Modular Structures was selected to supply Wallenius Wilhelmsen with administrative offices and a security building at the Scandinavian shipping line's new Dundalk Marine Terminal headquarters. According to the Baltimore Sun, the new 57.9 acre site will be Wilhelmsen's largest facility in the world.
According to Harold Boling, Wilmot Modular Major Projects Manager, "This is a critically important installation for the Port of Baltimore, putting it in a position to compete for millions of tons of cargo that arrive at East Coast ports annually on shipping lines such as Wilhelmsen. So, it was vital for us to fulfill the job requirements quickly with a quality product and excellent service. We feel that Wilmot Modular, in delivering these important elements, has played a role in supporting Baltimore's strategic plan to attract more carriers to its docks."
The Wilmot Modular administration building is a two-story structure equipped with an elevator. Special features include a 2-story glass vestibule plus ceramic and quarry tile interior finishes. A 1-story modular guardhouse was also erected at the new site. A high-end fiberglass panel exterior finish was selected for both buildings.
This project was completed in 2001. |
