At Wilmot Modular Structures, we’re proud to support initiatives that inspire and empower future leaders. On Thursday, November 14, 2024, our Wilmot lady ambassadors proudly represented us at the Junior Achievement (JA) Leading Ladies Event held at the Stanley Black & Decker Learning Center in Baltimore.
What is Junior Achievement of Central Maryland?
Junior Achievement (JA) of Central Maryland is a nonprofit organization dedicated to equipping young people with the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their futures, and make smart academic and economic choices. By connecting students with business and community leaders, JA inspires the next generation through hands-on learning experiences focused on work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.
About the Event
This inspiring event brought together an incredible group of Baltimore-area businesswomen and high school students for a dynamic morning filled with motivational speakers, interactive skill-building sessions, and valuable networking opportunities. The goal? To empower young women to dream big, lead with confidence, and envision a bright future full of possibilities.
The JA Leading Ladies Event celebrates the achievements and potential of women at all stages of life. It provides a unique platform for today’s female leaders to connect with the next generation, sharing experiences, insights, and inspiration.
A Lifelong Impact
Here’s a powerful statistic: one in five JA students goes on to pursue a career in the same field as their JA mentor. This means that the connections and inspiration shared during events like JA Leading Ladies can have a profound, lifelong impact on these students' futures.
We’re incredibly grateful to our Wilmot lady ambassadors for contributing their time and talents to this meaningful event. Their dedication to supporting and mentoring the next generation of female leaders exemplifies the values we hold dear at Wilmot Modular. Together, we’re building not just modular spaces but also the confidence and dreams of tomorrow’s leaders. Thank you for helping pave the way for the future!
Here’s what our Wilmot Lady Ambassadors had to say about this inspiring day:
"The JA Leading Ladies event packed an extraordinary punch being balanced with such thought-provoking, inspiring, and magnificently engaging material… sprinkled with the perfect amount of emotion and relatability. The rawness and eloquence of each guest speaker truly “hit home” and left something special for everyone in attendance." - Barbara, HR Director
"Reflecting on the guest speakers’ inspiring experiences and wisdom, I gained a deeper appreciation for the mentors who have contributed to my journey, acknowledging the pivotal role they have played in shaping my path. I also gained a better understanding of the importance of being a mentor to others. It was powerful to say the least, and I’m grateful that I was given the opportunity to attend. - Kim, Transportation & Service Manager
"The event introduced an icebreaker activity called Leadership Tower. This icebreaker activity was designed to get to know the people at our table. The questions really made a person give thought to who they are now and where they see themselves in their future. The entire event an amazing experience which I thoroughly enjoyed." - Denise, Collections Manager
"I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to attend the JA Leading Ladies event. It was an incredibly inspiring experience that reignited my passion and left me motivated to continue empowering others while striving toward my own dreams with renewed purpose. The event reminded me that my personal story and journey has the power to make a difference. " - Sabrina, Project Coordinator
