What Is Junior Achievement of Central Maryland?

Junior Achievement (JA) of Central Maryland is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing young people for success through hands-on experiences in work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. By connecting students with community and business leaders, JA helps them develop the confidence, skills, and vision to take charge of their futures.

About the Event

The JA Leading Ladies Event brings together a dynamic group of Baltimore-area businesswomen and high school students for an inspiring morning filled with motivational speakers, skill-building activities, and one-on-one mentoring opportunities. The event’s mission is to empower young women to dream boldly, lead confidently, and envision limitless futures. This special event celebrates the power of mentorship, collaboration, and leadership—creating space for women at every stage of their journey to connect, share stories, and ignite inspiration.

The Lasting Impact of Mentorship

One of the most powerful outcomes of Junior Achievement programs is that one in five JA students pursues a career in the same field as their mentor.
